THRIVE Information Night
On Wednesday 20 March, EMC hosted the first of a series of THRIVE Parent/Carer information nights.
Encompassing an overview of the THRIVE Framework and how students are given the opportunity to learn and live THRIVE; tips for using THRIVE at home were also covered. Involving videos, interaction from the audience and embarrassing personal stories, Sarah Roney (THRIVE Network Coordinator) and Stephanie Raike (EMC Head of Wellbeing and Support) shared how to THRIVE as parents and carers, as well as ways to build THRIVE into every day practice for your family.
In the coming terms, the sessions will dig deeper into the science and strategies; and align with the termly focus of the Langwarrin schools – and next term is RELATE well.
Watch out for our upcoming THRIVE events that will all be presented at the Langwarrin Performing Arts Centre:
22 May 2019: Connected but alone: how to build healthy relationships and navigate the virtual world
30 July 2019: The strength switch: how to capitalise on our strengths
23 October 2019: Healthy minds and healthy bodies: Raising happy healthy and resilient kids.Back to News
