Specialist Program Applications

Please Note: Due to a delay by Edutest- Parents/Carers of Murdoch Program applicants will now be notified by email on Tuesday 15th of September to confirm that your child has been successful in their Edutest and will be invited to attend an online Zoom interview. Only students progressing through to the interview stage will be contacted.

Please note if you wish to apply for more than 1 program, please complete a separate application for each program.

To apply please follow these steps:

Step 1. Fill in the following application form below- all fields must be filled in.

Step 2. Upload the documents requested for the program you are applying for.

Step 3. For Leaders in Sport and Performing Arts Collective please go to the TryBooking link listed in your program process (this will be displayed once you have selected the program you are applying for) to pay for your application and book an interview time slot.

For The Murdoch program- please logon to EDUTEST, pay your test fee and book a test time slot.

By completing this application:

  • I verify that I have received confirmation that my child is enrolled at EMC for 2021.
  • I understand that following the interview process, I will not receive any further communication regarding my child’s application from EMC until Friday 16th October via email.
  • I understand that EMC staff will not be able to provide feedback on my child’s application.
  • I understand that I must disclose my attendance to EMC staff if I am present during my child’s interview for a specialist program/s.

The Murdoch Program

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR YOUR APPLICATION LODGEMENT:

  • Headshot / cover photo
  • Two most recent school reports (1 from Grade 5 and your most recent Grade 6 report)
  • Year 5 NAPLAN results
  • A hand written piece explaining your goals and aspirations for the Murdoch Program. *What is this you may ask? It is a hand written piece no more than one page long with what you hope to get out of being a part of the Murdoch program.

EDUTEST

All applicants for the Murdoch Program are required to sit the online Edutest. There is an administration fee of $82.50 that is paid to directly to Edutest and is non-refundable.

The Edutest will be run online on Saturday September 5th 2020.

Leaders in Sport

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR YOUR APPLICATION LODGEMENT:

  • Headshot / cover photo
  • Two most recent school reports (1 from Grade 5 and your most recent Grade 6 report)
  • Year 5 NAPLAN results
  • A hand written piece explaining your goals and aspirations for the Leaders in Sport program. *what is this you may ask? It is a hand written piece no more than one page long with what you hope to get out of being a part of the LIS program.
  • A 1 minute video (no bigger than a 20MB in MP4 file format) *There is no specific criteria for what is required in the video, it is all up to you!

Performing Arts Collective

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR YOUR APPLICATION LODGEMENT:

  • Headshot / cover photo
  • Two most recent school reports (1 from Grade 5 and your most recent Grade 6 report)
  • Year 5 NAPLAN results
  • 3 minute video (no bigger than a 20MB in MP4 file format) demonstrating your two preferred specialist genres. These can be from the following criteria:
    • Dance
    • Drama
    • Music
