Our College is totally committed to the safety, health and wellbeing of the College community. This is a new section of the website and is currently under development.
Our aim is to improve parent engagement and strengthen knowledge and skills to support the health and wellbeing of our students.
Using a whole school, community wide approach, we collaborate with our parents and carers and relevant stakeholders to develop partnerships to support our students and families on their wellbeing journey.
The Wellbeing Team coordinates and facilitates regular opportunities for parents. Our plan for 2017 includes:
- Running parent focus groups
- Positive parenting programs
- Parent representation and voice on the MindMatters Action Team
- A presence at the parent/teacher interview evenings for individual consultation
The College is implementing the MindMatters framework which involves consultation and meaningful engagement with parents. MindMatters promotes inclusive school practices and the quality of school staff-parents-student realtionships.
